Several Computer Science students attended the Midwest Instruction and Computing Symposium held at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. The MSUM Mathematics Department hosted the Fall 2011 meeting of the North Central Section of the Mathematical Association of America October 28-29. Over 50 college and university faculty and students attended the meeting, which consisted primarily of presentations.
The student chapter of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) hosted a high school programming contest in Bridges Hall on April 2.
