Gregory Montreuil (Art & Design, 1982) is featured in a solo exhibition at The Rourke Art Gallery now through June 23. The exhibition features more than 40 black-and-white abstractions executed in oil. Montreuil, known for his published criticism and arts journalism, has developed a following in New York City among writers as well as artists.
MSUM Professor Emeritus Timothy Ray, who taught for twenty-seven years in the Department of Art & Design passed away on Saturday, Feb. 9, following a four-year battle with cancer. “Heretics,” a full-length play by Richard Zinober, English, was given a developmental workshop by the Horse Trade Theatre Group in New York City this spring. An individual artist grant from the Lake Region Arts Council in Fergus Falls and an MSUM faculty grant helped fund the project. Zinober teaches playwriting and screenwriting at MSUM.
