Hungry? Come to the LCM Blue House on Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 11-1 for Buck Lunch Tuesday. The LCM Blue House is located on block west of Hagen Hall. Lunch will be French toast, sausage, fruit, and juice. All for a buck. All are welcome.

Coleen has been a faithful employee for well over 30 years and has had a significant impact on the preschool children she taught and the many college students she advised over the years. She will be truly missed.

Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) presents its third Sports Communication Conference, “Bold North Meets MSUM,” on Wednesday, October 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Comstock Memorial Union on campus. Dr. Hest presents at Communication and Theater Association of Minnesota Conference

Dr. Theresa Hest, Communication Studies Professor from the School of Communication and Journalism, presented at the 2017 Conference of the Communication and Theater Association of Minnesota. The Conference was held in St. Cloud on September 15-16. Dr. Hest presented research on “What we carry with us: Memorable family messages that become part of our compass as we navigate transition, challenge, and change throughout life.”

‘Yeah Maybe, No’ Film Explores Consent and Male Victims’ Experience

Originally funded by a Kickstarter campaign and now touring college campuses internationally, the documentary Yeah Maybe, No (2017) follows Blake, a young gay man who is coming to terms with a history of multiple sexual assaults. Volunteer with KMSC Dragon Radio at the Dorothy Day Food Pantry on Monday, Sept. 18. If this is your first time volunteering there please show up a little after 6 p.m. to be trained in. If you have volunteered there before you can show up at 6:30 p.m. KMSC volunteers at the pantry every third Monday of the month. You do not have to be a part of KMSC to volunteer with us. We will meet at the food pantry.

Affinity Plus Campus Scholarship

Career Development Center identifies phishing scam

The Career Development Center has identified a fraudulent employer using the -mail accounts: Jeff Robinson “resumejrobin@outlook.com” or “[laweerhill@aol.com] laweerhill@aol.com” or info@pomos.it with the subject line PT PERSONAL ASSISTANT JOB AVAILABLE to advertise a position that promises $300 for only 2-3 hours of work weekly. This correspondence stipulates that you deposit a money order prepayment to your bank account prior to starting. Please do not respond, provide any information, or click on an active link as this email was not sanctioned, approved, or sent by MSUM and has been identified as a phishing scam.

Art, science department collaboration wows

Planetarium Director, Sara Schultz and Art Professor Brad Bachmeier were granted $9,000 to work in guiding art and science students to research and execute educationally accurate and visually dynamic murals to renovate the hallway entrance and walls for the planetarium. With this phase finished, Art students will now work with Youth Educational Services Art Teacher Karen Anderson and her students this fall in completing Phase 2.  Stop by and check out the impact of the amazing new and colorful murals.
