Alpha Lambda Delta inducts first-year students

Alpha Lambda Delta, the national honor society for first-year students, held its MSUM initiation Sunday, April 11 at 1 p.m. in the CMU. Twenty-nine new members were initiated. Freshmen initiates must have earned a 3.5 GPA fall semester and be in the top 20% of the freshman class. The initiation was hosted by last year’s ALD president and vice-president, Whitney Nelson and Nicole Kahler, and ALD Advisor Janet Haak. April 12-16 is Student Employment Appreciation Week

Each year, MSUM, along with colleges and universities across the country, recognizes the importance of student work experience during Student Employment Appreciation Week. This week draws the awareness of others to the contributions student workers make in the multitude of roles they fill. Please get involved and show your student employees how much you appreciate all they do for you.

BFA exhibit opens April 12

An MSUM student art exhibit will be on display April 12-25 in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts gallery. The exhibit is in partial fulfillment of students’ bachelor of fine arts degrees. A reception for the artists will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, April 15 in the gallery. It’s free and open to the public.
