The 25-year old computer science major was focused on his education until the streets of Cairo were jammed by spontaneous demonstrations against Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. MSUM student Daniel Lang received a $5,000 Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship from the Institute of International Education (IIE) to participate in a study abroad program.
