Fourteen students inducted into Delta Mu Delta

Fourteen MSUM students earned membership to Delta Mu Delta for their academic excellence in preparation for careers in business.Jason Grunewald was awarded a $200 scholarship by the local Delta Mu Delta chapter. Mass Comm students earn 10 awards from broadcast association

At the annual awards banquet of the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the organization presented a total of 248 awards to stations from all over the six state region (Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota & Wisconsin). SPJ announces 2009 Mark of Excellence national winners


The Society of Professional Journalists announced the national winners of the 2009 Mark of Excellence Awards, recognizing collegiate work published or broadcasted during 2009. This year, student journalists submitted more than 3,600 entries. MSUM students earned multiple awards, including Todd Kurtz, who was a NATIONAL WINNER in Television News Photography. Campus News was a national finalist in the SPJ awards, meaning MSUM was ranked as one of the top 3 college newscasts in the NATION. Click headline for full details.

NDPC college communications contest winners announced

Winners of the 2010 North Dakota Professional Communicators College Communications Contest were recognized at the NDPC state conference April 24 in Fargo. More than 60 college students and teams from 6 North Dakota and Minnesota schools participated in the annual competition. A total of 50 awards were presented in 34 categories.
