Celebrate Earth Day April 22

MSUM’s fifth annual Earth Day Celebration is Thursday, April 22 from 1-5 p.m. on the campus mall. There will be local vendors, informational tables, food, music and much more! Music will be provided by Werewolf Barmitsvah; Classical Chill; Inside Out Strings; and O’FOSHO. Take a break, enjoy the nice weather, and come support Earth Day! Earth Day 2010 is sponsored and funded by NEED, Dragon Entertainment Group, SCIC, and MEISA.

MSUM students host Celebration of Nations Friday

Entertainment, food, culture, and fashions from around the world will be showcased in Celebration of Nations from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, April 9 in the Comstock Memorial Student Union Ballroom. Admission is $1 for adults. Children 12 and under are free. All food tickets are 50 cents. Eight dollars should provide a good meal. Spagammi Spaghetti Feed

On Thursday, April 15th at 5:00 PM the women of Gamma Phi Beta are hosting a spaghetti feed to raise money for our national charity, Camp Fire USA at the Gamma Phi Beta house. We would like to invite all MSUM students, faculty, and staff, as well as any persons in the community to join us.

Pan African Night Feb. 19

Everyone is invited to a night of fun and cultural entertainment featuring dance performances, full color dresses, music and appetizing free gourmet African food. PAN AFRICAN NIGHT—Friday, Feb. 19 from 6:30-9 p.m. in the CMU—takes you on a cultural journey to the mysterious African continent with a cultural twist featuring performers. Free admission.

V-Day MSUM presents The Vagina Monologues Feb. 14

V-Day Minnesota State University Moorhead 2010 will present a benefit production of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues Sunday, Feb. 14 at 9 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Hansen Theatre. For tickets, $3 single or $5 couple, contact the MSUM Box Office, 477-2271. More than 40 women from MSUM will participate in the production. Sponsored by MSUM Theatre Arts Department/Blackfriars, the benefit hopes to raise awareness to stop violence against women and girls and raise funds for our beneficiary—the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center of Fargo/Moorhead.
