A co-authored paper, “Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fonder: Searching Combinatorial Potential through Knowledge Networks”, by Dr. Siwei Zhu, Dr. Gokce Serdar, and Dr. Xiang Gao from Paseka School of Business has been accepted for presentation at MBAA International 2020 Conference in Chicago. Under the circumstances, the paper would be published in the conference proceeding without in-person presentation.
New Rivers Press publication ‘throughsmoke: an essay in notes’ by Jehanne Dubrow has been selected as a finalist for the 2019 Big Other Book Award for Nonfiction. The winner will be announced on May 16. ‘throughsmoke’ was edited and designed by MSUM students in the Publishing program and in the English, Mass Communications, and Graphic Communications departments.

The MSUM Shark Tank proposal entitled, “Finding Refuge: Using GIS technology to unite natural, historical, cultural, and creative experiences in the Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge” was chosen as one of the 24 Shark Tank finalists.
