Bachmeier’s work featured in national juried exhibit

Brad Bachmeier’s ceramic work featured in national juried exhibit in Las Vegas, NV. Professor Brad Bachmeier’s wheel-thrown and saggar-fired ceramic work entitled “Geomorphic Companions” was juried into the “Naked and Refined Show” at Clay Arts Vegas Gallery.  The exhibit dates are May 4 through 28, 2017, with the opening reception set for Friday, May 5. Short named Alice Paul Award Honoree

Sherry Lee Short, Professor in the School of Art, has been named as an Alice Paul Award Honoree. The Alice Paul Award is an historic list of women who have worked to end men’s violence against women in the United States. The Award was generated by the Feminist History Committee of the National Organization for Men Against Sexism. 

Gerontology student awarded scholarship from MN Gerontological Society

Leah Oien, a senior majoring in both Gerontology and Social Work, has been awarded a Gerald Bloedow Scholarship from the Minnesota Gerontological Society.
