Dr. Elizabeth Kirchoff, English, is proud to announce that Kasey Karsnia Wacker, a senior majoring in Communication Arts/Literature Education at MSUM, was recently awarded the Stanley Hooper Award for Educational Excellence. This award recognizes outstanding student teachers and is provided through the teachers’ professional organization ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development). On Thursday, May 7, the faculty in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice inducted 25 students into one of three national honor societies, and 3 students were each inducted into two national honor societies. The faculty also announced the winners of the department’s annual awards.
It is with great excitement the Philosophy Department would like to congratulate Dylan O’Brien on his acceptance into Louisiana State University’s Master of Arts program in Philosophy for Fall 2015. Dylan double majored in Philosophy and Psychology and graduated Magna Cum Laude from MSUM in Spring 2013.
Three faculty members from the Mathematics Department, Tammy Fitting, Tim Harms, and Tammie Schmiess attended the MN Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference, April 30th –May 2nd.
