Student Olivia Bain won HPR’s Best Student Visual Artist award

MSUM student Olivia Bain won the Best Student Visual Artist award in The High Plains Reader’s Best of the Best 2015 awards.

Best Student Visual Artist: Olivia Bain

Olivia Bain is the very first winner of HPR’s Best Student Visual Artist award. The new category was added to increase awareness of young talented artists. Bain is a ceramics major at Minnesota State University Moorhead and also works at the Plains Art Museum. She’s an incredible sculpture artist, who’s crafted everything from a 16-foot hippo snake to a 4-foot lobster claw made of metal rods.
