Springing from work done in Steve Grineski’s Ed. 310 class, art education major Marissa Van Vleet continued her social justice work by volunteering at Churches United for the Homeless on Saturday mornings running an art club for children. Van Vleet’s advisor Brad Bachmeier hopes to turn this into a sustainable program in the future. Read more in The Forum article.

MSUM students Dana Koczur and Ben LeMay won most aesthetically pleasing entry for the 2014 Toothpick Bridge Competition held Tuesday, Feb. 18 in the CMU. Competitors build bridges from toothpicks and glue, then test the maximum load the bridge can support before it breaks. Dana and Ben also received first place in their division for load supported.
