Terrie Manno, Music (piano), presented an invited workshop to the North Dakota Music Teacher’s Association membership March 6. The workshop, titled “Student Projects that Develop Musicianship, Improve Listening Skills and Generate Enthusiasm,” provided local piano teachers with innovative strategies that synthesize student learning through group and individual projects.
Sheri Erickson, School of Business, presented the paper “Using Communication Theory to Analyze Corporate Reporting Strategies: A Study of the Health Care Industry” on Feb. 28 at the MBAA International Conference in Chicago. Co-authors were Marsha Weber, Dean of the College of Business and Industry at MSUM and Zach Lukes, MSUM finance graduate.
Bill Hall, Mass Communications, was awarded the 2013 Silver Medal award by the American Advertising Federation of North Dakota (AAF-ND) at the Addy Awards on Feb. 22.
