Troy Schmidt, Academic Support Center, has been elected Chair of Region 6 for the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA). He will begin his two year term in October. Congratulations Troy!
Keri DeSutter, School of Teaching and Learning, presented at the American Council on Rural Special Education (ACRES) conference in Las Vegas, Nev. The presentation, “Exploring Academic and Personal Profiles of Undergraduate Students at One University in the Rural Midwest,” shared results of research conducted in collaboration with Ximena Suarez-Sousa.
Dr. David Tack, STL, presented at the Critical Questions in Education conference in San Antonio, Texas. His presentation centered around his research over the past 3 years on alternative educational settings, and ways schools effectively create community within and outside of the academic settings.
