Library reserves

If you are a faculty member who has previously had materials on the library’s electronic reserves system and would like to activate your reserve readings for spring semester, contact Jenny Jensen (jensnjen@mnstate.edu or 477-2342) in the library. She will send you a paper copy of the materials you have had on electronic reserves and we will be able to re-activate those materials for spring. Additional materials may be submitted using the electronic submission form. Click headline for details.

Library Children’s Book Sale Nov. 4-5

On Wednesday, Nov. 4 and Thursday, Nov. 5, the Library will be selling children’s picture books appropriate for preschoolers through 6th graders. All books were published in 2008 and are in excellent condition. The sale will be held in the Library Circulation lobby from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Books will be bargained price at $6.00 each or two for $10.00. Proceeds from the sale will help support the Library’s Comstock Reading Aloud Initiative. For further information, contact Korella Selzler (selzler@mnstate.edu).

What to do when the TCU Library closes

As was announced earlier this semester, a budgetary decision was made by the Tri College Commissioners that the Tri College Film Library will cease operation as of the end of Fall semester, 2009. Recent Deaths

Bernard Gill, 1980 Head Librarian Emeritus, passed away September 25, 2009, at age 88 in the Hillsboro Medical Center Nursing Home.
