Darrel Huish appointed vice chancellor for IT for MnSCU

The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees today appointed Darrel Huish vice chancellor and chief information officer for the system. Huish, 53, has been vice chancellor and chief information officer for Maricopa Community Colleges in Tempe, Ariz., since 2004. From 1996 to 2004, he was assistant vice provost for information technology at Arizona State University. Click headline to read more.

Microsoft promotions ending October 31st

Currently Microsoft is offering two promotions for students and employees on the MSUM eSoftware Store Front that are scheduled to end October 31st. Microsoft Office Enterprise has been discounted since the beginning of fall term, making it less expensive than Office Professional Pro. MSUM has also been a pilot sight for their Download Option program. Effective November first, we expect the price to increase about $45 when both options cease.
