Minnesota State University Moorhead and the Small Business Development Center, along with US Bank, will host a Women’s Business Seminar on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the university’s Comstock Memorial Union Ballroom. Keynote speaker will be Jill Blashack Strahan, founder and CEO of Tastefully Simple. In 1995 she started the company in a 1,200-square-foot shed with no running water, using a pool table as a packing station.
Dr. Allan Chapman from Oxford University’s Wadham College presents his annual public lecture on “From Moon Men to Black Holes: How 400 years of the telescope has re-shaped our sense of reality” at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23 in Minnesota State University Moorhead’s Science Lab 104.
