Learn about integrating writing, critical thinking, and active learning PLUS get FREE BOOKS at the Book Talk Event on Monday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. in CMU 203. The featured book: “Engaging teaching: The professor’s guide to integrating writing, critical thinking, and active learning in the classroom” by John Bean, Professor of English, Writing Program Director, and Chair of the University Task Force on Teaching and Learning at Seattle University.

TCU Service-Learning Workshop Oct. 8

MSUM, Concordia, and NDSU faculty are invited to the Tri-College Service-Learning Workshop, which will be held at MSUM on Thursday October 8. The event will be held from 1:30 – 4:45 PM in the CMU Ballroom. Participants will hear about student experiences with Service-Learning, and discuss formulating learning outcomes and assessment tools for S-L.

WALKtober Same Idea NEW Rules

Get your WALK ON with the WALKtober challenge sponsored by the Hendrix Health Center Wellness Educators during the month of October. Walking 10,000 steps a day will burn approximately an extra 2,700 calories per week. Walking helps achieve good health and weight loss. Click link to read more.
