MSUM hosts symposium on Teaching English Language Learners

MSU Moorhead is hosting the second annual TEAM Work Symposium: Teaching ELLS with Academics in Mind on Wednesday and Thursday Nov. 18 and 19. The theme is “Pulling Together for ELLS: Content and Language Instruction.” Kate Kinsella, Ed.D., a teacher educator in secondary education at San Francisco State University, is the keynote speaker. MSUM student art exhibit opens Nov. 16

An MSUM student art exhibit will be on display Nov. 16-Dec. 2 in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts gallery. The exhibit is in partial fulfillment of students’ B.S. and B.A. degrees in art. The exhibit will feature ceramics, graphic design, painting, drawing and printmaking. A reception for the artists will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 in the gallery. Volk & Scheuer hold printmaking demonstrations

John Volk, Art & Design, and student Jennifer Scheuer, from the Printmaking program in the Department of Art & Design, will be holding demonstrations for approximately 1,800 area elementary school students during the next three weeks. The demonstrations will be held in the Hannaher Print Studio at the Plains Art Museum, where Volk is the featured artist and Scheuer is the student intern.
