“In Pieces” showing Dec. 2

“In Pieces”, a story highlighting the issue of domestic violence told through live rock music and video, will be showing Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts Hansen Theatre. It’s free to students; general admission is $5. The story line follows an abused woman and her young child and also the life of her abuser. Emphasis is placed on the cycle of violence showing the correlation of abuse in a home with child witnesses. There is a strong message of the impact of abuse along with a hopeful message of survival and new beginnings. Click headline for more information.

Asian Immigrant Panel features MSUM’s Chizuko Shastri

The Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County will host a panel of local people who originate from Asia on Tuesday, December 8, at 6:30 p.m. at the Hjemkomst Center, 202 1st Ave. N., Moorhead. Held in conjunction with the exhibit Asian Games: The Art of Contest, the panel will discuss different cultural traditions in their countries of origin. Student leadership session Nov. 19

Join the Office of Student Activities in discovering your leadership potential! The OSA will be offering a session from the Emerging Leaders program entitled “Feedback – How to give it and how to receive it” on Thursday, November 19 at 3:30 pm in CMU 227.
