Annual Family History Workshop Oct. 2 at MSUM

Decoding the Maze is the theme for the 35th Annual Family History Workshop to be held Saturday, October 2 Minnesota State University Moorhead. The 2010 Family History Workshop features Stephen Morse the creator of the One-Step Website for which he has received both the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Outstanding Contribution Award from the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies, Award of Merit from the National Genealogical Society, first-ever Excellence Award from the Association of Professional Genealogists, and two awards that he cannot pronounce from Polish genealogical societies. Weight Watchers open house June 29

All Shook Up showing through Friday

All Shook Up, a musical based on Elvis Presley tunes, runs through Friday, June 18 in the Hansen Theatre. When a hip-swiveling, guitar-playing roustabout gets out of prison, he roars into a dusty Midwestern town where excitement is outlawed under the Mayor’s strict rules: no tight pants, no public necking, and no loud music – especially of the Elvis variety.
