The results for the 11th Annual United Way of Cass-Clay School Supply Drive have been calculated and over 4,100 local students in need are prepared for success on their first day of school. A total of 4,114 backpacks were distributed, which is an 11% increase over last year!
Governor Tim Pawlenty has announced the appointment of Christopher Frederick to the Minnesota State College and Universities (MnSCU) Board of Trustees. Frederick, of Mankato, is a student at Minnesota State University (MSU), Mankato, where he is working towards a master of science degree in mathematics.

Kenyon Williams, Music, percussionist, had an active summer as a representative and recruiter for the MSUM Department of Music while he presented performances and clinics across North Dakota. In June, Dr. Williams was invited to work with students at the Yamaha “Sounds of Summer” percussion workshop in Williston, N.D., where he worked with 50+ high school students from North Dakota and Montana.
