Recent death

Professor Emeritus Otto Ursin, age 90, died Wed., Oct. 21, 2009, in Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo, ND. Otto spent his teaching career (Technology) at MSUM until his retirement in 1982. A Memorial Service was held on Oct. 27. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley or Trinity Lutheran Church-Building for Mission Fund.

U of M Moorhead?

I never realized how many graduates of the college formerly known as Moorhead State University there are in southeastern Minnesota. I think I heard from every single one of them after they read my Tuesday column about my recent visit to Fargo-Moorhead. Several of them e-mailed to point out an error. Music Theatre Fargo-Moorhead presents A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD

Music Theatre Fargo-Moorhead (MTFM)* is proud to announce the regional premiere of A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD by Willie and Robert Reale. Based on the beloved children’s books by Arnold Lobel, these familiar characters hop from page to stage in this jazzy and perky Tony-nominated musical. MSUM’s Combined Charities Campaign ends soon!

The annual Minnesota State Employee’s Combined Charities Campaign runs through Saturday, October 31. If you have misplaced or have not yet received an information packet and pledge form, please contact Deb Lewis (2158) in Human Resources. MSUM’s goal is $63,000.
