Erna Marie Swisher, age 89, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2009, in Elim Home, Fargo. Erna started work at Moorhead State College in 1973 in Academic Affairs and then Continuing Education until her retirement in 1987. The funeral was Jan. 4, with arrangements by Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo. Kenneth Bladow, MSUM Assistant Professor of Health & Physical Education (Emeritus-1991), passed away December 23, 2009, at the age of 78, at his home in Moorhead. The funeral was Dec. 30 at the Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
MSU Moorhead is offering a two-credit course called Digital Painting on Friday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 15 through April 30 in the Roland Dille Center for Arts room 167. This is a regular tuition course. Andy Stalboerger will be the instructor. This course will cover a variety of contemporary digital art. Students will learn digital painting skills that can apply to virtually any 2-D medium.
