Anoush Khoshkish, a retired MSUM professor, passed away on the morning of May 28, 2017, at home in New York City. He leaves behind his wife, constant companion and best friend of 36 years, Irene R. Miller. Anoush grew up in Paris, studied in Geneva, worked in Geneva and later Paris and settled in the United States in 1966.

Candace Gould, Paralegal, submitted a winning essay for the Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX) Scholarship. The LEX Scholarship is awarded by the American Association for Paralegal Educators (AAfPE), the national organization for paralegal programs. Economics alumnus David Slovick hosted current students and faculty members at Allina Health in Minneapolis, a not-for-profit health care organization that operates over 90 clinics and 12 hospitals in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
