MSUM Working Through National Tragedies

President Anne Blackhurst recently sent an email to the campus community, reminding students, faculty and staff that MSUM stands in solidarity with those most affected by the fatal shootings in Orlando, Baton Rouge, Falcon Heights and Dallas. She stressed the importance of supporting one another during these tragedies, and offered resources for students, faculty and staff. 

Article Discusses Importance of Diversity on University Campuses

A recent article in The Forum titled, “Area colleges, universities say range of ethnicities on campus improves learning,” discusses the importance of diversity and inclusion on university campuses. The article quotes Donna Brown, MSUM’s Chief Diversity Officer. She cites MSUM’s newly written diversity plan, and says departments are seeking to bring different perspectives into classrooms to better prepare all students for life. […]
