Dr. Heather Siek receives Nancy Parlin Grant to attend the National Black Child Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Heather Siek, Assistant Professor of Psychology, received grant funding through the Nancy Parlin grant to be able to attend the National Black Child Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Siek attended sessions related to the eight essential outcomes for black child development which included: safe communities, mental health, education, nutrition, digital safety, representation, safe environment/climate and narratives.

Mischief Managed: Community Engagement and Planetarium Host Hogwarts Scavenger Hunt

Nicole Larry and Sara Schultz and their student staff (Community Outreach and Planetarium) collaborated with Clued-In Events to host their ninth annual community scavenger hunt. Geoscience students investigate soil at the former Ponderosa Golf Course

Geoscience students spent time in the field this October with Professors Karl Leonard and Michelle Abshire, investigating possible heavy metal contamination in the soils of the former Ponderosa Golf Course at the Minnesota State Moorhead Regional Science Center.
