Trick-or-Canning is an event that students can take part in every Halloween. Clubs in the Biosciences Department invited fellow students and friends to trick-or-treat for canned goods this Halloween at residences near the MSUM campus. Marion V. Smith, 93, passed on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at the Shepherd of the Valley Healthcare Center. A native of St. Paul Minn., she had retired as professor emerita from Moorhead State University, where she taught mathematics from 1945 to1982. As a hobbyist photographer she enjoyed summer vacations touring the world’s exotic locals, which resulted in many awards.
