Dr. Michael Coquyt and Dr. Julie Swaggert, Assistant Professors in Educational Leadership presented at the 2013 TIES (Technology and Information for Educational Services) Conference in Minneapolis in December. Their presentation focused on “Humanizing the Online Environment.”
Dr. David Tack, School of Teaching & Learning, published a chapter “Using Visualization and Deep Breathing” in the upcoming book Educational Psychology Reader: The Art and Science of How People Learn (Peter Lang). This chapter draws upon Tack’s research on strategies for alleviating school-related distress in high school students.

Teresa Shume, School of Teaching and Learning; Biosciences Department, presented a research paper entitled “Elementary Teachers’ Conceptions of Environmental Literacy” at the international meeting of the Association for Science Teacher Education in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Diane Wolter has been elected to the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) Commission for Career Services Directorate. The ACPA Career Services Commission examines and addresses the changing and diverse role of career development in higher education within a student development framework. Dr. Wolter is an alumna of the MSUM Counseling & Student Affairs program.
