During the 1957 Fargo tornado, Forum photographer Cal Olson captured an iconic image many still associate with the disaster more than 50 years later. Olson died Thursday in a Duluth, Minn., hospital at age 84, after falling and striking his head Wednesday at his cabin on Big Island Lake in Itasca County.
Alvaro Guel, ’92, was named 2008 Teacher of the Year, All District Teacher of the Year, and Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year by the United Independent School District in Laredo, Texas. He teaches at Centeno Elementary School.
MSU Moorhead has received a $10,000 grant from Dakota Medical Foundation to support specialized training from the Impact Institute.
