November 11 is Veterans Day—a day to remember the sacrifice of Americans who served in the armed forces. Dragon veterans can pick up a “Dragon Veteran” pin at the physical plant, the president’s office or the human resources office. Thank you, veterans!
Lisa Bratsch, who graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead this spring, has been fighting brain cancer since August. On Saturday some of her many friends at MSUM put on a dance to raise money for her and also to enhance cancer awareness. The Dragons Dance Team, of which Bratsch was a member, staged a “Thriller” dance at halftime of the MSUM-St. Cloud State University game. I never realized how many graduates of the college formerly known as Moorhead State University there are in southeastern Minnesota. I think I heard from every single one of them after they read my Tuesday column about my recent visit to Fargo-Moorhead. Several of them e-mailed to point out an error.
