Join the Dragon Cheering Section for the Fargo Marathon Saturday, May 22. The Dragon Cheering Section will be located on the east side of the First Avenue North Bridge, which will be between miles 3 and 4 of the Marathon.

Join the Dragon Cheering Section for the Fargo Marathon Saturday, May 22. The Dragon Cheering Section will be located on the east side of the First Avenue North Bridge, which will be between miles 3 and 4 of the Marathon. Runners will be at our station EARLY, so we need volunteers from 7:30 to 10 a.m. WEAR RED. If you want a free red T-shirt, e-mail gundersn@mnstate.edu and we’ll have one for you. Bring noisemakers, bells, whistles, anything you have to show Dragons support the runners!

Curtis Gudmundson to receive MSUM’s L.B. Hartz Award

Curtis Gudmundson, founder of Milestone Hotel Investments, will receive MSUM’s L.B. Hartz Professional Achievement Award. Gudmundson started his entrepreneurial pursuits during college, first as a rock band promoter and later as the owner of Mama Mia’s Pizza in Fargo. The two L.B. MSUM alumni win Webby award for Yearbook Yourself website

A team that includes three graduates from Minnesota State University Moorhead has won a 2010 Webby Award and a Webby People’s Voice Award. Bridget Charon, Andrew Charon and Barrett Haroldson worked on the popular YearbookYourself.com website. The site, which allows users to insert their own faces into old yearbook photos, earned both the critical and popular nods in the Webby’s “Best Use of Social Media” category.
