Students from the Honors Program traveled to the Soudan Underground Mine in northeast Minnesota this past weekend for their Spring Trip. They took the cage elevator down half a mile underground and rode the rails through the mine.
The Psychology Department recognized Katherine Johanson, Psychology and Gerontology major, as the 2015 nominee and winner of the Paterson Award given to an outstanding Psychology senior by the Minnesota Psychological Association. Twenty-one students represented MSUM at the 2015 Arrowhead Model United Nations Conference, hosted by the University of Wisconsin La Crosse April 9th through 12th, 2015. They were advised by Dr. Andrew Conteh and led by Model UN President Uchenna Onyeama. The team received several awards:
