Gerontology students Mercedes Eke, Dejlana Hodzic, and Violet Schroeder, along with Sue Humphers-Ginther, Professor of Sociology and Gerontology Program Coordinator, and Shawn Ginther, Professor of Social Work, attended the 39th Annual Meeting of the Minnesota Gerontological Society in Brooklyn Center, MN on April 24, 2015.
Molly Strong received a second place award in the oral presentations and Whitney Swanson received second place in the poster competition at the North Central District 3 Beta Beta Beta Meeting held at the University of Iowa. Both students had received Beta Beta Beta Research Scholarships this past fall.
Beta Beta Beta is the National Biological Honor Society. The North Central District 3 Annual Meeting was held at the University of Iowa April 17 and 18, 2015. Four members of the Wallert Cancer Research Team that are Beta Beta Beta members presented at this meeting.
Monday, April 27 | 1 to 2:30 p.m. OR 3 to 4:30 p.m. | CMU 101 Rona Halualani, a representative of Halualani & Associates, will be on campus Monday, April 27 to present the findings of a recent Diversity Mapping Project undertaken to identify MSUM’s level of diversity/inclusion achievement.
