Library Children’s Book Sale Nov. 4-5

On Wednesday, Nov. 4 and Thursday, Nov. 5, the Library will be selling children’s picture books appropriate for preschoolers through 6th graders. All books were published in 2008 and are in excellent condition. The sale will be held in the Library Circulation lobby from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Books will be bargained price at $6.00 each or two for $10.00. Proceeds from the sale will help support the Library’s Comstock Reading Aloud Initiative. For further information, contact Korella Selzler (selzler@mnstate.edu).

Red River Women’s Studies Conference Nov. 6

The Women’s Studies program hosts the 9th Annual Red River Women’s Studies Conference on Friday, November 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the CMU. The conference focuses on topics related to women, gender and feminism, presented by faculty, students and community members. The keynote speaker is Dr. Cynthia Norton on “Intersections of Science and Gender: Possibilities for Collaboration and Transformation.” The conference is free for students and includes lunch with registration. As many of you know, the Moorhead City Council and Mayoral Elections will be held Tuesday, November 3rd from 7AM – 8PM at your respective polling locations.
