Accessibility Tip: Accessibility Is a Journey, Not a Destination.

Accessibility isn’t a destination you reach once and then leave behind. It’s an ongoing journey of learning, improving, and creating experiences that work for everyone.

Whether you’re creating web content, developing documents, planning events, posting videos, or designing forms, accessibility should be considered throughout the process, not just at the end.

While accessibility requirements and deadlines help guide our work, true accessibility is about continuously improving the way people access information and services. Technology changes, content changes, and user needs change. Our commitment to accessibility should evolve as well.

As you create new content, ask yourself:

  • Can everyone access this information?
  • Is it easy to understand and navigate?
  • Have I considered users with different abilities and needs?
  • What small improvement can I make today?

You don’t need to achieve perfection overnight. Every caption added, heading structured correctly, image described, and document made more accessible helps move us forward.

The most important step on the accessibility journey is simply continuing to move forward.
