Q: What do you enjoy about your job?
TJ: I enjoy most the look on students’ faces when a concept finally makes sense to them – when they finally “get it” and those “ah-ha” moments.
Jamie: I am a big people person, so just having a job where I can interact with students and know when they’re participating, and being there when they get it, is something I really enjoy.
Ryan: The actual teaching is the best part. It’s so fun, especially teaching a hard math concept. It’s great to see when a concept finally clicks for a student.
Q: Tell me a random fun fact about yourself.
TJ: I play the tuba. I am the principal tubist with the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra, a position I have held for most of the past 20 years.
Jamie: I have run the original marathon in Greece; I love woman empowerment in sports and have been the head track coach at Sheyenne for 12 seasons.
Ryan: I just moved to Fargo/Moorhead from Cranston, Rhode Island (the city that Quahog is based off of in the TV show Family Guy), where, for the past couple of years, I was working mainly as a trombone and guitar player in jazz and wedding bands.
