Dr. Dawnita Gallo and Ann Sandeen present at a region conference

Dr. Dawnita Gallo, Early Childhood Education, and Ms. Ann Sandeen (12/2024 MSUM graduate and long-term sub at the MSUM Early Education Center) presented at the MN Association for the Education of Young Children Annual Conference, in St. Paul this past weekend. Their presentation was titled: Ditch the Worksheets! Transforming Worksheets into Developmentally Appropriate, Play-based Learning Experience for Young Children. Participants, who included early childhood educators and administrators, and early childhood teach prep faculty, were shown a multitude of hands-on ways to transform content driven worksheets into play-based activities. Dr. Gallo and Ms. Sandeen are proud advocates of teaching through play.
