Faith Sycaoyao Represents USA in UNESCO Report on Digital Creators Published in Paris

Faith Sycaoyao, an Economics and Business Administration student at MSUM, was recently featured for her involvement in a UNESCO research project focused on digital content creators and their global influence. Faith was interviewed by Madison Clatt, a doctoral student at Bowling Green State University and a key member of Dr. Louisa Ha’s research team. The study explored the global impact of digital content creators, examining their motivations, skills, practices, and the challenges they face.

The research document was published in Paris, France, highlighting Faith’s perspective as a digital content creator with growing platforms of 70,000 overall followers across 40 countries. In the report, Faith shared,

“Art has always been a passion of mine since I was a child, and I want to use this expertise to inspire others so they, too, can highlight the wonderful things around them in the world.”

As an art micro-influencer and internationally published artist, she uses her platform to drive meaningful action and connect with audiences on critical topics. Her thoughtful and impactful approach to content creation earned her a place in the UNESCO study, further solidifying her influence. She also added,

“Content creators face several challenges, including navigating misinformation, maintaining authenticity, and managing mental health due to public scrutiny.

UNESCO can help by providing accessible resources and training on media literacy, ethical content creation, and mental health support tailored for creators.”

Faith’s involvement in the research project underscores the connection between education, global issues, and the role of digital content creators. Her work highlights how students can use their skills to engage with global challenges and contribute to important conversations.
