Writing Support Center Seminar Series: ‘How to Grade Papers Thoroughly and Efficiently’

Tuesday, Nov. 8 | 2 p.m. | LI 124

When faculty think about their grading, several questions may come to mind. Am I including enough comments? Am I including too many? Do my students read my comments? How can I accomplish this task more efficiently while communicating to students what I feel they need to know? How can I maximize the effectiveness of a rubric? During this workshop, we will discuss these questions and determine strategies for effective, yet efficient, grading of student writing.

The Writing Support Center will be offering several seminars for faculty this semester. These interactive seminars, led by Dr. Tim Decker, are designed to help participants teach writing effectively.
