School Psychology Students and Faculty Present in New Orleans
Twelve graduate students in school psychology and four MSUM faculty attended the National Association of School Psychology Conference in New Orleans, LA on Feb 9-13. Several faculty and students presented at the conference. Dr. Olivia Melroe and colleagues presented a Symposium on “An Indigenous Conceptual Framework: Guiding Culturally Effective School Psychology Practice.” Kristy Boomer and Dr. Lisa Stewart presented a poster titled “Teaching Math Vocabulary in Preschool: A Comparison of Techniques.” Alannah Dosh, Dr. Lisa Stewart and Dr. Mary Dosch presented a poster titled “Resources for Improving Evidence-Based Practice in Schools.” The NASP conference was attended by over 5,000 school psychologists, faculty and students.
