Interview schedule for Interim Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences
Three finalists for the position of Interim Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences are scheduled to hold open forums for the MSUM community. The forums are scheduled for May 9, 10, and 13 and all members of the MSUM community are invited to attend. These forums are an opportunity to learn more about the finalists and to submit comments on their qualifications to the search committee. The Interim Dean will provide academic leadership and coordination for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and will serve on the President’s Cabinet, the Academic Affairs Council, and other University committees as needed.
Open Forum for Jeff Bodwin: Thursday, May 9, 8:30-9:30 a.m., Center for Business 111. Jeff Bodwin is a tenured professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. He has been the chairperson of the Department since 2011. Bodwin earned a Ph.D. in 2001 from the University of Michigan.
Open Forum for Randy Cagle: Friday, May 10, 8:30-9:30 a.m., Center for Business 109. Randy Cagle is a tenured professor in the Philosophy Department and has served as department chair for the 2012-2013 academic year. He earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy in 2001 from the University of Memphis.
Open Forum for Deborah White: Monday, May 13, 8:30-9:30, Center for Business 111. Dr. White is a tenured professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice and has served as chair of that department since 2008. She has also served as the Coordinator of the Tri-College National Education for Women’s Leadership Development Institute since 2001. She earned her Ph.D. in Sociology in 2000 from State University of New York Albany.
