Sara Schultz, Planetarium, Invited to Present at annual “Best Of Nerd Nite Fargo”
Dr. Sara Schultz, Planetarium Director, has been invited to do an encore presentation of her March 2025 Nerd Nite talk: Fire in the Mountains: A Dragon’s Journey Through Chile at the Annual Best Of Nerd Nite. The presentation focuses on Schultz’s 2024 trip through Chile as an Astronomy in Chile Education Ambassador Program participant. Schultz was awarded a full-ride fellowship through the National Science Foundation. She was part of a ten-person cohort that traveled for two weeks through Chile, experiencing some of the world’s largest and most advanced telescopes. She recounts the journey’s ups and downs as she trekked through some of the remotest areas of Chile in search of a pristine night sky.
The Nerd Nite encore is set for Nov 20 at 7 pm (doors open at 6:30) at the Front Street Tap Room Cellar. Tickets are available online and at the door. Come out and see what the fuss is all about!
