Moorhead hosts Fire & Ice: Winter Celebration of the Arts
Friday, Dec. 5 | 5:30 to 9 p.m. | Roland Dille Center for the Arts/Library/Campus Mall
Minnesota State Moorhead is revamping its annual winter arts event into a bold, immersive campus and community experience, Fire & Ice: Winter Celebration of the Arts. The holiday festival will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, from 5:30 to 9 p.m., in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts, Livingston Lord Library and on the campus mall.
Now in its 11th year, the event has been reimagined and expanded. In addition to showcasing outstanding student talent in art, music, film, and poetry, the evening will feature live ice sculpting, fire dancers, carolers, crafts, an art marketplace and more!
“This year’s event is more interactive than ever before,” said Kyja Kristjansson-Nelson, dean of the College of Arts & Humanities at Moorhead. “It’s a chance for our students, employees and community members to come together, enjoy incredible student artistry, and experience the magic of winter.”
Appetizers and a cash bar (beer & wine) will be available, as well as hot drinks, snacks and s’mores supplies for roasting around firepits.
Non-perishable food items are being collected in the Dragon Train to support the Dragon Pantry and Dorothy Day Food Pantry. Bring items to the train in the parking lot by 8:30 p.m.
The event is free for employees, families and students. General admission tickets are $10 for adults and free for children under 12. Purchase tickets at mnstate.edu/tickets.
Moorhead is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible event. If you need a reasonable accommodation to attend this event, please complete the Event Accommodations Form and a staff member will be in touch with you.
