Required Annual Training – Due This Thursday, December 12, 2024
Minnesota State is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and ethical work environment. The annual required training program for new and existing employees supports this goal by providing required statutory training, and training that supports strategic issues and current needs. This sets the foundation for a safe, ethical, and welcoming culture at all our campuses and work locations. The eLearning courses listed below provide policies and expectations unique to our higher education system. If you hold more than one appointment with Minnesota State, these seven training courses are part of your primary job.
Due Date
All employees are expected to complete the training by December 12, 2024. Please complete the training during your scheduled work hours.
Enrollment Instructions

To access your assigned training, log in to the State of Minnesota Self Service Portal Sign-in using your 8-digit Employee State ID Number and password (the ID number you use for paycheck and insurance information.)
Select the Learning Management tile.
Select the My Learning tile.
Find and select the Required Annual Training Program tile.
You will be presented with a screen to Launch and complete the required training courses.
After launching a module, watch for pop-up blockers. It is okay to allow all pop-ups from this site. Note, the courses will display “not enrolled” under each tile. This status will change to “Enrolled” after you Launch each course.

Code of Conduct and Ethics | 30 minutes |
Total estimated duration: 4 hours; 4.5 hours for supervisors, managers, and leaders
Employees with Multiple Job Roles
If prompted to select a job role when enrolling in each course, please choose your primary role. Adjunct faculty who are also employed in a non-adjunct capacity must select the non-adjunct role as their primary assignment, unless otherwise directed by HR.

Course Spins After Launching:
Some users are experiencing “spinning” issues when they use Firefox. Try updating your browser, or logging in using Safari, Chrome, or Edge instead – usually that will solve the spinning issue. Open this Software and Hardware Requirements for SEMA4 and Self Service (mn.gov) link for more details about browsers and operating systems.
Screen says Not Attempted or Locks Up after launching:
If the user launches the course but the screen “locks up” or says “not attempted” – that is a pop-up blocker. Pop-ups will need to be enabled for this site. After launching a module, watch for pop-up blocker messages in your browser window. It is okay to allow all pop-ups from this site. Contact your campus IT Helpdesk for desktop support.
