Art Alumnus completes mural for Park River
School of Art Painting and Art History alumnus (22), Tobias Zikmund was commissioned by the city of Park River, ND to complete a mural in their downtown area. The work measures nearly 10’ tall by 18’ wide. The mural is titled “Strawberry Quilt.” The visual structure of the work, with its two-tiered block-like border and interior panels, is inspired by quilt construction and local quilt-making and gardening traditions.
