Practice navigating Workday
MinnState10 is a Workday User Practice Tenant for future Workday users. (Workday uses the term tenant to mean an application that requires its own secure, cloud-based computing environment. It’s another way of saying a “version of Workday.”) Access Instructions to the Practice Tenant are posted on Friends of NextGen.
The MinnState10 Workday User Practice Tenant is a space where users can practice navigating in Workday to become familiar with its functions, features, and applications. Note: Employees who were hired on or after March 21, 2024, may not have access into the User Practice Tenant; current positions of employees who changed jobs on or after that date may also not be reflected in the Practice Tenant.
What you will be able to do
- Practice the functionality you learned in Workday computer-based training courses WD01-05.
Things to be aware of
- This is a practice environment, so you won’t be able to run every step of every process.
- You may notice data inconsistencies, such as missing recently hired employees and inaccurate security roles.
- Any changes you make to data or personal information will not carry over to go-live.
- Workday support for users is unavailable in the User Practice Tenant. Workday support will be available after go-live.
- The MinnState10 Practice Tenant is available now through June 28.
- A new link for the live Workday Tenant (Production Tenant) will be communicated when it is available; the User Practice Tenant is unavailable after June 28.
What to do if you cannot log into the MinnState10 Workday User Practice Tenant
- Please submit a ticket through the Minnesota State Desktop Services TDX system.
