Youth Outreach and CSHE collaborate to host nearly 500 Moorhead 5th graders to campus

Over the span of five days, nearly the entire 5th grade class from Horizon Middle School in Moorhead had the opportunity to engage in experiential learning on the MSUM campus. During their visit, students explored the Oceanarium and Planetarium, and actively participated in hands-on learning activities led by faculty and students from Chemistry, Biology, and Physics departments.

This enriching experience was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Dr. Landon Bladow, Dr. Linda Winkler, Dr. Mazz Marry, Dr. Craig Jasperse, Dr. Katie Russart, Dr. Sara Schultz, Phil Larson, and Sean Brandenburg. A special acknowledgment goes to Dr. Jeff Bodwin, Dr. Michelle Tigges, Dana Carlson, and members of the MSUM Chemistry & Biochemistry club, and Society of Physics Students, whose hard work ensured unforgettable learning opportunities for these students.
