Juan Cabanela featured on KVRR story about the April 8 partial solar eclipse

MOORHEAD, Minn., (KVRR) — The solar eclipse is set for April 8th and preparations should be made to enjoy it.

The eclipse will be hitting the United States from 12 pm-4pm in different areas.

Here in Fargo, we are expected to see the eclipse from 12:49-3:09 pm and a maximum sun blockage of  63 percent.

Regardless of where you are for the eclipse, everyone should be prepared for viewing, especially with eclipse glasses because looking at it without serious protection can cause serious damage.” Dr. Juan Cabanela, professor at MSUM, said, “The biggest, most important thing is to protect your eyes.”
