MSUM provides free menstrual products in campus restrooms
In May 2023, the Minnesota House of Representatives and Senate passed a comprehensive education spending package that included a new requirement for schools and colleges to provide menstrual care products for students at no charge. The requirement went into effect January 1, 2024. Minnesota is the 16th state to require schools to provide these products.
MSUM supports ending period poverty by providing free menstrual care products in all university restrooms.
